MommaCare™: Training & Consultation in Reproductive Health Psychology

MommaCare is a dual track service model. We train professionals who care for women experiencing difficult pregnancy, pregnancy loss, infertility and perinatal mood disorders. We also educate families about emotional well-being during the perinatal period. The name MommaCare reflects the relational approach of this model, calling up the themes of bonding, attachment, emotional well-being, growth and competence.

Dr. Deb Rich is a nationally recognized expert in providing training, consultation and program development related to psychosocial aspects of reproductive health. Her target audience goes beyond mental health professionals to include physicians, nurses, hospital chaplains, clergy, nurse-midwives, doulas and childbirth educators. Conference talks include the North American Society for Psychosocial OB/Gyn, Postpartum Support International, International Perinatal Bereavement Conference, Minnesota Psychological Association and Minnesota NAMI.
